Rachel’s Favorite way to Use: Ok, yes my most favorite way to use this oil is for when I’m sick. I put 1-2 drops max in a cup of hot water and I breathe it in, holding the top with my hands between each breath.  Don’t get it in your eyes, so eyes closed!  It won’t kill you; it’ll just burn…a lot.  If it’s upper respiratory, breath in through your nose and if it’s in your chest, breathe through your mouth.  And you’ll be good to go.  Get a tissue box!

Description

About the Plant: From over 700 different species of Eucalyptus, it is said that 500 are able to produce an essential oil. Only fifteen species occur outside Australia, with just nine of these not occurring in Australia. Yet only a few that produce essential oils – are well known for their medicinal or perfumery applications. Each Eucalypt produces a different chemical fingerprint with variations in the constituents within the oil. These differences show through in the aromas of each oil, some distinctly different but still maintaining the “traditional eucalyptus note”. This and most Eucalyptus oil contains cineole which is a common constituent for the medicinal, therapeutic or pharmaceutical application.

Eucalyptus Australiana (Eucalyptus radiata ssp. radiata) is one of the gentlest Eucalypts. The sweetest smelling cineole type Eucalypt, with a delicate, green leafy, freshness. This is the most popular Eucalyptus oil for Aromatherapy applications.
